Legend has it that the stone-age hand axes scattered across the land were forged by lightning striking the earth — the Dutch called them “Dondersteentjies.” This Chardonnay carries that same sense of natural wonder, a true expression of Stellenbosch terroir.

A fruit-driven wine with vibrant aromas of fresh citrus and apricot, finishing on delicate white floral notes. Extended lees contact builds layers of texture and nuance, while time on older oak lends a subtle biscuity note to the palate.
